Where are we located?

We are located at The Bat & Ball Bed & Breakfast, 163 Old Dover Road, Canterbury, CT1 3NX. We are ideally placed for visiting Canterbury city centre, local attractions, restaurants, shops and transport links.

Are you close to Canterbury city centre?

Yes, we are within easy walking distance of Canterbury city centre. You can walk to the top of the high street, near Canterbury Whitefriars bus station, in under 15 minutes.

Is there parking at the property?

Yes, we have four designated parking spaces available at the property. These are offered on a first come, first served basis.

Is breakfast included? 

Yes - a traditional continental breakfast is included with your stay and is served between 7:30am and 9:00am.

Our breakfast includes a selection of fresh pastries, bread, jams, cereals, fresh fruit and fruit juice, along with tea and coffee.

Can you cater for dietary requirements? 

Yes, we’re happy to cater for dietary requirements where possible, as long as we are made aware of them in advance.

We offer a selection of gluten-free and dairy-free options, and can accommodate a range of other dietary needs. Please let us know about any allergies, intolerances or dietary requirements before your stay so we can prepare accordingly.

What time is check in? 

Check-in is from 3:00pm on the day of arrival. On the morning of your stay, our team will send over your self check-in instructions, including details on how to access the building and your room.

What time is check out? 

Check-out is by 10:00am. We kindly ask that all belongings are removed from your room and your key is returned by this time.

Is there somewhere to leave our bags if we arrive early?

Yes, our team is happy to store your bags if you arrive before check-in and would like to explore the city. Please contact us in advance so we can arrange this for you.

Do all rooms have en-suite bathrooms?

Yes, all of our rooms include a private en-suite bathroom for your comfort and convenience.

Is Wi-Fi available?

Yes, complimentary Wi-Fi is available throughout the property. The access password can be found in the information pack in your room.

Are the rooms accessible?

Unfortunately, all of our rooms are accessible by stairs only. We do not currently have a lift or ground-floor guest rooms, so the property may not be suitable for guests with limited mobility.

Is there a hairdryer in the rooms?

Yes, a hairdryer is provided in every room for your convenience.

Are there tea and coffee facilities in the room?

Yes, each room includes a selection of teas, coffee and hot chocolate for you to enjoy during your stay. Both cow’s milk and soya milk are available.

Is there a television in the room?

Yes, all bedrooms are fitted with a flat-screen television for you to enjoy during your stay.

Is housekeeping service available?

Yes. If you are staying with us for multiple nights, please let our team know if you would like your room refreshed or serviced during your stay.

Is there someone available 24 hours a day?

Our team is available until 4:00pm each day to help with any enquiries. Outside of these hours, an emergency contact number is provided should you need urgent assistance.

Is there a shop nearby?

Yes, there is a Sainsbury’s Local directly opposite The Bat & Ball, making it easy to pick up any essentials during your stay.

Is smoking or vaping allowed?

Smoking and vaping are NOT permitted indoors.
